Abstract: Industrial prosperity not only promotes economic development, but also becomes the way to solve the coordinated development between urban and rural areas and rural revitalization. Under the strategy of twin-city economic circle in Chengdu and Chongqing, high-quality development of characteristic agriculture industry is conducive to effective allocation of resources, boosting integrated development of secondary and tertiary industries, and can effectively improve regional agricultural modernization. Taking citrus industry in Sichuan and Chongqing as an example, the paper proposes to construct a citrus industrial belt in the upper reaches of Yangtze River, focusing on three paths of green development, supply-side upgrading and international competitiveness of the industry. Finally, it puts forward some suggestions on the coordinated development of citrus industry in Sichuan and Chongqing from the aspects of diversification of cooperative subjects, coordination of production factors, coordination of industrial chain and coordination of market.
