Abstract:
As a new driving force for economic growth, digital economy has become an important force to promote common prosperity. Using the entropy method and the coupling coordination degree model combined with the Moran's I model, we constructed the digital economy-common prosperity assessment index system and conducted empirical research on the coupling coordination mechanism and dynamic evolution of digital economy and common prosperity in 30 provinces in China from 2013 to 2021. The study shows that: (1) the development level of China's digital economy and common prosperity has been growing steadily in general, and the eastern part of China > central part of China > northeastern part of China > western part of China; (2) the coupling level of China's digital economy and common prosperity has shown a high degree of coupling in the central part of the country, while the other parts of the country are in the rising trend of “antagonism-grinding-high-level coupling” (3) the digital economy and common prosperity coupling coordination degree in space there is a positive correlation between the evolution trend, manifested in the “high-high” and “low-low” spatial agglomeration distribution characteristics. In order to develop the digital economy to promote the realization of the goal of common prosperity, the government should strengthen infrastructure construction and digital technology training, promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and optimize resource allocation.
