Purpose/SignificancePatent evaluation involves many activities of technology management, such as patent introduction, R & D, patent enforcement, patent license and transfer, as well as pledge finance, etc.. Therefore, patent value has become an important aspects for the study of enterprises' technology management.

Method/ProcessBased on the web of science database, using citespace software, this paper analyzes the research results on patent value at home and abroad from the perspectives of time distribution, country distribution, cited frequency, key documents, high-frequency keywords and abrupt terms, and then explores the development course, core issues, evolution path, research hotspots and frontier trends of patent technology management.

Result/ConclusionResearch results and personnels related to patent value mainly come from the United States, Britain, China, Germany and other countries. Research on patent value is an important component of enterprise patent technology management, legal value is the premise and guarantee of patent value, and patent citation is the forefront and trend of enterprise patent technology management and application.
