Abstract:
Purpose/Significance Based on 695 survey data of rural residents in Jiangxi province, this paper empirically studies the satisfaction Degree of rural residents with clean energy support policies so as to promote the development of clean energy in rural areas.
Method/Process By using the Multiple Ordinal Probit Model, the study analyzes the relationship between initial variables and intermediate variables with rural residents' clean energy policy satisfaction degree.
Result/Conclusion The rural residents have low satisfaction degree on clean energy policices. And, the overall satisfaction of rural residents with clean energy support policy is directly influenced by the terrain of the village: mountainous areas, traffic conditions, policy awareness, perceived methane tank policy strength and perceived solar water heater policy strength; while the evaluation of subsidy policy for household biogas digesters and the evaluation of subsidy policy for solar water heaters indirectly affect the overall satisfaction of rural residents with clean energy support policy. The study also shows that improving the traffic conditions in villages, improving the policy awareness of rural residents, and increasing the intensity of policies on biogas digesters and solar water heaters will significantly reduce the possibility of rural residents' "dissatisfaction" with the overall evaluation of clean energy support policies and increase the possibility that rural residents are "satisfied" with the overall evaluation of clean energy support policies.
