Abstract: High-quality economic development has comprehensively launched a new round of economic transformation in China, marking China's economic development enter a new stage. At this time, the evaluation and comparative analysis of the high-quality economic development of Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai and other cities will help to promote Chengdu's economy to play a leading role in high-quality economic development of the whole country. After deep understanding of connotation and requirements of high-quality economic development, the paper builds an index system of high-quality economic development from four aspects: power transformation, efficiency promotion, quality improvement and risk prevention. It also uses entropy weight coefficient method, and expert scoring method to give weights to all levels of indicators, and calculates the scores of each city with extreme value standardization method and weighted scoring comparison method. At the same time, it conducts a supplementary survey and research around the scoring results, and points out the shortcomings of Chengdu in five aspects: development momentum, development efficiency, development quality, risk prevention and policy guarantee, and then puts forward relevant suggestions.
