Purpose/SignificanceOur country attaches great importance to construction of ecological civilization and green development, and encourages economic development with"higher quality and efficiency, more fairness and sustainability ".Counties are the basis of the" multipoint and multipole" strategy of Sichuan, when Sichuan county economy is facing a new round of western development, "One Belt and One Road", the construction of Yangtze River economic belt and other great opportunities.In this context, sustainable development of county economy in Sichuan must be guided by brand new con- cept-green development-that requires sustainable development and utilization of county's characteristic resources.Development of county economy should begin with development of characteristic industry de- pending on characteristic resources.Sustainable development and utilization of county's characteristic re- sources is an important way of green development.

Method/ProcessBased on field investigation and literature review, this paper finds that some problems exist in development and utilization of Sichuan county's characteristic resources:the resources have not been fully utilized in some couties, the added value of products is low, negative externalities exist in exploitation and utilization of natural resources.

Result/ConclusionWe need to strengthen comprehensive utilization of county's characteristic re- sources, to extend industrial chain, to set up local characteristic resources brand, to pay more attention to combination of resources development and utilization, and improvement of ecological environment.
