Abstract:
Purpose/SignificanceThe development of agriculture requires measures of risk prevention and control of agricultural production as guarantee. This paper takes Chengdu as an example to study the agricultural insurance in Sichuan Province in order to provide favorable theoretical and practical support for related research.
Method/ProcessThrough the collation and analysis of relevant data and policies, this paper summarizes the development status and characteristics of agricultural insurance in Chengdu. At the same time, it tests empirically the influencing factors of agricultural insurance development in Sichuan Province.
Result/ConclusionThe per capita disposable income of rural residents, the number of rural population, the total agricultural output value, and the risk of major disasters have a positive impact on agricultural insurance.Still, the following things should be done: adjusting the agricultural insurance premium rate and insurance amount, perfecting the performance evaluation of premium subsidy, increasing the characteristic agricultural insurance, and improving the coverage of participating farmers.
