Abstract:
The graphene-related nanomaterials, such as carbon nanotubes, graphene and graphene oxide, have been widely used as reinforcement or surface treatment materials of fiber reinforcement in composites, due to their high strength, modulus, toughness and high specific surface area. This review summarized the research progress of modification by surface coating on fiber using graphene-related materials, and improved the interface properties between fibers and matrix in fiber-reinforced composites. The properties and applications of carbon nanotubes, graphene and graphene oxide were summarized. Then, several modification methods on the surface of carbon fiber and glass fiber were introduced respectively. When jointly coated with carbon nanotubes and GO, the infiltration nature, engagement effect and synergistic effect of glass fiber surface and resin matrix were described. Finally, the future research focus of the coating was prospected, and it was pointed out that the development of new promoters, coupling agents and synergistic coating of conventional fibers need further research.
