Abstract:
With the purpose of ensuring operational safety of the footbridge, some work of inspection, identification and evaluation was taken on to appraise the actual working conditions of the footbridge. Modeling and analysis of the footbridge were carried out with MIDAS-CIVIL bridge software, and the test scheme was designed, where the loading test included measure point disposal and loading scenarios.The maximum deflection of static load test was 10.73 mm, which is less than the standard limit (
L/600). What's more a dynamic loading test was implemented. The measured vertical natural vibration frequency was 3.601 Hz, which meets the design requirements.The bearing capacity test of bridge structure meets the design load (crowd load: 4.2 kN/m
2) requirements under normal use.
