脉冲电镀对铸铁活塞环表面铬层组织和性能的影响

Effect of Pulse Plating Process on Morphological and Mechanical Property of Chromium Electrodeposits on Cast Iron Piston Ring

  • 摘要: 在55℃的标准镀液中, 采用自制的脉冲电镀装置对铸铁活塞环表面分别进行直流和脉冲电镀铬层, 用金相显微镜和显微硬度计观察和测试了镀层的表面组织形貌和显微硬度。试验结果表明, 脉冲频率对镀铬层微观组织和力学性能影响很大, 频率越高, 显微硬度和厚度明显提高, 脉冲镀铬层的晶粒明显细化、组织致密, 无裂纹, 但脉冲频率升高到1.5Hz时会导致镀铬层产生裂纹。

     

    Abstract: In this study, a special pulse planting apparatus was developed to form the chromium electrodeposits on a cast iron piston ring by direct current electroplating and a pulse current electroplating respectively in standard chromium bath, and the microstructure and microhardness of chromium electrodeposits were determined using optical microscope. The results show that the pulse current frequency greatly affects the microstructure and microhardness of chromium electrodeposits, the thickness and microhardness increase with the increase in pulse current frequency, and the grain is fined to form texture without pores and cracks. However, the cracks appear in hard chromium electrodeposits when the pulse frequency increases to 1.5Hz.
