Abstract: The authors choose the water of Tuojiang, well water and tap water in Xihua University as samples to analyze the hardness, permanganate index (PV), and the content of plumbum using chemical analysis method and instrument analysis method.The results show that according to the total water hardness of the national standard, the well water reaches the standard of class Ⅰ; the permanganate index of tap water in line is within the national standard limit, while well water belongs to the first class of groundwater, water from Tuojiang belongs to the first class of surface waters; the lead content of tap water is less than the limit value of drinking water according to national requirements.Well water is classified as class Ⅰof groundwater while Tuojiang water is classified as class Ⅲ of surface water.
