Abstract:
In this study, fibrinogen and thrombin were used to prepare fibrin-gels for obtaining a hemostasis materials. The fibrinogen solution and the thrombin solution were mixed with the proportion of 1: 1, 1: 3 and 1: 5. The SEM results show that, the fibrin-gels has a porous fiber network structure, and the pore size in 1: 3 fibrin-gels is the smallest one. The swelling degree measurements results indicate that the 1: 3 fibrin-gels possesses the largest swelling ratio. The procoagulant evaluation result show that the thrombus are much easy to form on the fibrin-gels surface due to the obviously activate platelets. The results of suckling rat wound experiment indicate that, the 1: 5 fibrin-gels promotes the healing of the wound. Above all, the prepared fibrin-gels in this work had good hemostasis ability. The obtained results are helpful for further research and development of fibrin-gels as wound dressing.
