Abstract: In order to meet the development needs of economic globalization, according to the manufacturing industry trends, a large number of companies paymore attention to the improvement of enterprise competitiveness and productivity. This paper presents a web-based CAD/CAM/CAPP collaboration system for businesses, and gives a collaborative platform design framework. The rapid access to market-related information can be achieved by using asynchronous communication technology, information sharing technology and collaborative product data management technology for a cooperative enterprise throught his platform. The rational allocation of related resources for collaborative enterprises will be attained so as to optimize the product design and manufacturing resources through the platform. The product development cycles will be shortened and productivity is improved as well.
