Abstract: The objective of this paper is to predict the changes of trip mode chosen by inter-city passengers.Based on Logit model,in which economy,speediness,convenience,comfort and safety are selected as its targets and the utility function is established,the authors develop a calculating model of inter–city passengers trip mode split behavior varies.At last,the passenger-dedicated line between Zhengzhou and xi,an is taken as an example,an imitation calculation is conducted.The result indicates that the passenger–dedicated line,seconomy character determines the larger effectiveness it can provide to the passengers.When the passenger-dedicated line is constructed,the proportion of the passengers choosing railway as their travel means will greatly increase.
