热电材料研究的现状与发展趋势

The State-of-the-art and Future Trend of the Study on Thermoelectric Materials

  • 摘要: 热电材料作为以废热和太阳能为热源的发电技术的关键, 受到世界各国的高度关注。近年来, 随着纳米材料制备技术的不断进步和对纳米尺度下电子、声子输运机制研究的不断深入, 热电材料的研究取得了很大突破。本文简要介绍了热电发电技术的能量转换原理, 综述了热电材料在原子尺度、纳米尺度和微米尺度下的研究进展, 指出从增加简并能带数、调控有序结构、形成共振能级等方面提高功率因子是热电材料研究未来发展的趋势。

     

    Abstract: Thermoelectric materials are getting lots of attention since they are the key for the thermoelectric power generation from waste heat and solar energy. Recently, breakthroughs happened owing to the continuous advances in the new synthesis technique for nano materials, and the new understanding for the transport mechanism of the electrons and phonons at nano scale. In this paper, we will briefly introduce the working principles of the thermoelectric power generators, and review the research progresses of the thermoelectric materials under atomic scale, nano scale and micro scale. Finally, we suggest that that the power factor improvement from increasing degenerate bands, tuning microstructure, and forming resoant states will be the future focus in thermoelectric research.
