Abstract:
Trichlorosilane is a cheap and easily available chemical reagent with high reduction activity under the activation of Lewis bases. In the past two decades, great progress has been made in asymmetric catalytic hydrosilylation catalyzed by chiral Lewis bases. In this paper, the reported Lewis base catalysts are divided into six kinds: formamide carbon-oxygen complex Lewis bases
LB-1, diazo complex Lewis bases
LB-2, tert-butylsulfonamide thio-oxygen complex Lewis bases
LB-3, phosphorous-oxygen complex Lewis bases
LB-4, nitrogen-carbon-oxygen complex Lewis bases
LB-5 and sulfoxide-phosphine oxide complex Lewis bases Lewis base
LB-6. The application scope of these catalysts is briefly introduced. We consider that the development and application of the new chiral Lewis base catalysts which are cheaper, more efficient and more selective is the future research trend in this field.
