Similarity of Conceptual Thinking across Chinese-English Languages in English Learning

  • From the perspective of English learning mental mechanism, this paper discusses the interaction of 'language and thinking structure'between the English and Chinese languages in the adults' English learning information processing and the significance of conceptual structure for the similarity of thinking across languages. It points out that the optional use of language-thinking structure of mother tongue will promote their English learning rather than hinder it.
