Frame Semantics in China: Introduction, Application and Prospect

It's been more than 30 years since frame semantics came into being in 1982. The theory has widely been applied in linguistics, translation studies, foreign language teaching, lexicography etc. The paper thoroughly examines the present situation, focuses, problems and prospects of the researches on frame semantics in China, which hopefully lays a foundation for future studies in the field.
