Analysis of the Usages of "Na(拿)"in Modern Chinese

"Na(拏)", the variant of "Na(拿)", was noted in Analytical Dictionary of Characters(Shuo Wen Jie Zi), but "Na(拿)" itself appeared late.In modern Chinese, "Na(拿)" has been used more and more widely.According to the investigation based on modern Chinese corpus, usages of "Na(拿)" fall into three categories:verb, preposition and morpheme.This article also traces the evolution mechanism and process of "Na(拿)" from a verb to either a preposition or a morpheme.
