Empirical Analysis of Tradeable Natural Resource Pricing: A Case Study of Cultivated Land

  • Based on the survey data of 135 households in Dongjianghu reservoir area, this paper taking cultivated land price as a typical case is to reveal the pricing mechanism of tradeable natural resource. The study finds that the average land rents per mu of cultivated land in rice, maize, ginger, chestnut, tea and orange are 295.01, 154.56, 955.08, 339.75, 764.01 and 857.05 yuan respectively, which indicates that the price of tradeable natural resource depends on consumer's willingness to pay market price.
