Abstract: Researches have been done a lot on the narrative style of The Great Gatesby, but seldom touched its narrative structure. This essay suggests that F. Scott Fitzgerald's work is modern and leading in literature creation, based on analysis of its narrative structure among sequence, interval, contrast and proportion.
