Ideological and political education of postgraduates, as the core in higher education institutions, greatly affects the high-level talents development. It is a new mode of ideological and political education for postgraduate students in the new era to put ideological and political education into the whole process of graduate education and realize the all-round education. The principle and moral education of postgraduates means to incorporate principle and moral education in all aspects of postgraduates project participation. Postgraduates and their supervisors work together to practice the new model of moral education in their projects. In this way, postgraduates will not only make academic progress, but also establish the spirit of “serving the people, scaling new heights, striving to be the best, study with rigorous attitude, gathering intelligence to tackle key problems, working in unity and cooperation, caring and cultivating, rewarding and helping”. This study explores relevant issues of principle and moral education for postgraduates, including theory, model construction and practice in West China Medical School. The study aims to strengthen the coordination and cooperation between principle and moral education and other training purposes for postgraduates, and expand training ways and methods for postgraduates to accomplish projects, in order to enrich the connotation of principle and moral education for postgraduates, and provide sufficient motivation for further improving the quality of postgraduate training.
