Abstract:
The integration of culture and economy plays a vital role in driving economic growth, optimizing industrial structures, and enhancing cultural soft power—offering fresh momentum and innovative pathways for advancing Chinese modernization. This study examines the development trends and interactive dynamics between culture and economy in the context of Chinese modernization. Drawing on Marxist production theory, modern economics, and sociological perspectives, it utilizes literature review and case study methodologies to construct a multidimensional analytical framework. Through a comprehensive examination of the theoretical underpinnings, practical approaches, and future directions of culture-economy integration, the study reveals the following key findings: (1) The deep integration of culture and economy is a defining feature of Chinese modernization, contributing not only to economic growth but also to the preservation and development of cultural diversity; (2) Innovation serves as the primary driving force behind this integration, with technological advancement and policy support accelerating the digital transformation of the cultural sector and enhancing the added value of cultural products and services; (3) Sustainable development stands as the strategic direction for culture-economy integration. To ensure coordinated advancement across economic, social, and cultural spheres, the local governments must emphasize the protection of traditional culture and the sustainable use of resources.
