Abstract:
Excavated in 2005, Jian Beijiangpeng Shoushi Monument documented the event that Gao Gong, the new satrap of Sichuan Province, had arranged the dam repair project in the winter of 198 A.D.He had appointed two envoys, Dushuiyuanshi 'Rencha' and 'Luli Pingsi', to complete the project at site in ten days. This inscription indicates that Dujiangyan was previous named Beijiangpeng when the grassroots cadres were 'Pengli', and the monument should have been in the temple until the flood came in August 910 A.D.
