Abstract: Song Dynasty is the typical civilized society managed by intellects. Even the successful candidates in provincial military examination radiated some characteristics of literati. Many of them composed poetry collections. Some discussed the nature of military; others focused on Chinese landscape; still others devoted themselves to sufferings.
