Abstract:
On June 29, 2012, The First Forum of
Shu Studies and Local Culture was held in Chengdu, with participation of more than thirty experts and scholars.On the forum, the participants discussed the following six topics: Family Culture and
Shu Studies, Regional Culture and
Shu Studies, Revitalization of
Shu Studies in Contemporary China, Civilization of River Source and Cultural Renaissance of Chengdu Plain, Protection and Development of Cultural Heritage in Non-central Cities of the Minjiang River Basin, and Cultural Choice of the Renewal of North Chengdu.They also analyzed the research achievements of
Shu studies and local culture, and discussed the direction and focus of its development.
