Wu Zhiying's interpretation of
Yi Li involves objects, social rites and ritual significance, which is of the same condense style as Zheng Xuan's. Wu Zhiying's
Yili Shigu, containing Zheng Xuan's convincing interpretation and ideas, is also condense and easy to understand. Following the creative convention in interpretation of
Yi Li from Song Dynasty, he makes up for Zheng Xuan's oversights and his
Picture of Rites and
Picture of Ritual Artifacts make the complicated and nameless artifacts and rites in
Yi Li vivid and easy to grasp.
