Abstract:
In order to understand the academic development status of journalism and communication related schools in Sichuan and Chongqing, as well as promote resource coordination and complementary advantages between the two regions, this paper makes a statistical analysis of the high-level papers and research projects by journalism and communication related schools in two places during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. The conclusions are as follows: firstly, from the perspective of the number of published high-level papers, Sichuan and Chongqing journalism and communication schools have formed a development pattern in which leading universities take the lead and other universities compete for leaps and bounds. From the indicators of high-yield authors, major research interests and publications, each university and institution in Sichuan and Chongqing has formed its own distinctive characteristics and research expertise, reflecting the strong complementarity of research interests of the two universities and departments. Taking into consideration the issues of high-level research projects, the two regions have formed six types of research interests, ranging from high-level papers to general papers. In the course of future discipline development, it is necessary to take Sichuan and Chongqing as a whole into account, carry out multi-field and deep-level exchanges and cooperation, realize complementary advantages, benign interaction and coordinated development, and provide media resources guarantee for promoting the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.
