Abstract:
Looking back on the previous research on Bian Zhilin’s poetic art, this paper analyzes the classic
The Broken Chapters by rereading the text in detail. The previous researchers mainly commented and analyzed the poem from the perspectives of “relativity”, “decorated” and “landscape”, etc., while this paper focuses on the three words: “see”, “-ed” and “you”. “See” enriches the “present” in linear time, “-ed” is the sign of the past, so it can be said that the poem does not express anything in the “future”. “You” occupies a dominant position, which implies a kind of suppression of “I”. Starting from this, the paper tries to analyze the time rupture and consciousness gap presented in
The Broken Chapters. It also discusses the practical significance of the poem and advocates the establishment of an equal and open dialogue relationship.
