Abstract: In the era of high social development, an individuals’ social needs and problem sharing mechanism have changed, and it is urgent to combine the sense of recreation effect and emotional simulation experience to realize the innovative development of social work services. With board game as the service carrier, social work can help service objects adjust their physical and mental state and recover their psychological and social functions when playing games. This paper briefly reviews and summarizes the history and professional characteristics of board game therapy, and analyzes the application value of board game therapy in social work service, as well as the theoretical basis, model innovation, procedure guidance and key issues needing attention in the application of board game therapy in social work service.
