Abstract:
The fourth revision of China's trademark law formally introduces the concept of "sincere intention of use" into the trademark registration. It has an important function to curb the improper behaviors such as malicious hoarding and malicious squatting of trademarks from the source. But as the hours pass away, evidence of "sincere use of intention" is easily lost and difficult to preserve. Blockchain technology has the characteristics of decentralization, distributed bookkeeping and not easy to be tampered with. It can be used to prove the "sincere intention of use" for trademark registration applicants. The applicant can load the "sincere use intention" in the application into the blockchain, and the trademark office can take this as the reference standard for examination, so as to better regulate the trademark registration behavior of the applicant and establish a good trademark registration order.
