Abstract:
With the reform and opening up and the western development, Sichuan Province has attracted the attention of scholars at home and abroad with its rapid rise. Based on the literature of Sichuan studies in China collected by CINII, a Japanese doctoral dissertation database, and KAKEN, a Japanese scientific research fee-assisted enterprise database, this paper presents the overall overview and research focus of Sichuan studies in Japanese academic circle through bibliometric analysis and translation. Japanese studies on Sichuan mainly focus on humanities, covering multi-dimensional studies from the perspective of history, studies on archaeological historical materials, studies from the perspective of art history, tourism development, Tibetan and Tibetan areas, Sichuan dialects, etc. While in natural field, Sichuan studies made by Japanese usually focus on earthquake disaster, involving the prevention and measurement of earthquake disasters, post-disaster impact and reconstruction, international cooperation and research. Clarifying the overall condition and detailed contents of overseas studies on Sichuan, China can not only provide thinking and basic research materials from the perspective of others for the overseas construction of the regional image of Sichuan, but also provide the overseas perspective and historical information for the writing of local Chronicles and national history of Sichuan.
