Abstract: Min River culture has developed and evolved in the course of thousands of years, and has formed its unique cultural connotation and characteristics. First, the dual-origin culture of Min River has created the ancient Sichuan civilization, one of the early civilizations of China, with Min Mountains as its core and Min River as its pivot. Second, the culture has boosted prosperity of early Chinese agricultural civilization with the water as its center. Third, the inclusive and diverse culture has continuously changed with times, forming new cultural models. Then, it aims to create a harmonious coexistence between man and nature. Fifth, it is guided by Taoist culture and Munjong culture to highlight the spiritual beauty of Chinese culture. In addition to the characteristics listed above, Min River culture also possesses the characteristics of originality, pluralism, unity, sustainability, openness, regionalism and uniqueness, having abundant value implication and realistic enlightenment function in water conservancy culture, ecological town culture, national culture and so on.
