Abstract:
To break through the current dilemma of international talent team construction and accurately retain outstanding foreign talents is an important part of the "the talents for strong nation" strategy in the new era. Based on the Grounded Theory and qualitative software NVivo, this study comprehensively analyzed the interview texts of outstanding foreign college graduates in the Yangtze River Delta region, and made an in-depth study of their deep-seated demands in the choice of employment direction and the current difficulties faced by the retention of outstanding foreign college graduates.The results show that the factors hindering the employment of outstanding foreign college graduates in China are as follows: the government employment system is not perfect; narrow range of occupations offered by enterprises; mismatch between major and job; strict visa approval; low enterprise treatment; cross-cultural adaptability.Therefore, this study suggests that the government, enterprises and universities should cooperate with each other to attract and retain outstanding foreign college graduates to work in China and accelerate the pace of building China into a world-class talent power.
