Abstract: Fei Xiaotong's perspective on the Chinese nation is a concept he proposed and elaborated upon through extensive research and investigation. His viewpoint has academic roots closely tied to the formation of his early thoughts, self-reflection, and the national historical shift and research experience since the 1930s. The multi-ethnic coexistence in China led Fei Xiaotong to move beyond focusing on a single ethnic group, elevating his research to explore the formation of the Chinese national identity. Future academic research on Fei Xiaotong's view should delve deeper into the historical interpretation and field investigation analysis of multi-ethnic interactions.
