Abstract: President Xi Jinping talked many times about shaping a credible, lovely and respectable image of China, which set a clear direction for the building of national image and international communication. In view of the development process of China's diplomatic concept since the reform and opening up, the respectable image of China should be understood as that of a responsible major power. Responsibility has multidimensional connotation, which is closely related to China's traditional sense of responsibility, Marxist view of responsibility and the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s revolutionary construction and reform practice. It is of far-reaching significance to mold and spread the responsible and respectable image of China, which is an objective need to melt all kinds of ideological hostility in American and Western societies, resolve the conflict of responsible logic between China and the West, and enhance China's cultural soft power. To shape and spread the respectable image of China, we need to organically combine the ways of self-shaping and other shaping, the concept of strategy and tactics, the channels of action and speech, the content of theory and story, the value of the nation and the world, the means of technology and art, and many other aspects.
