Abstract:
Li Qingzhao is regarded as the greatest poetess in China. Her Ci has been attracting the interests of many scholars and studied deeply. From last century, Li Qingzhao's works were translated and studied a lot by western scholars. In the eyes of many western scholars, Li Qingzhao is considered as the most prominent poetess of China. Her Ci not only displays a lot of beautiful images and poetic realms, but also presents the creation characteristics of androgyny, which makes her works contain the qualities of both feminine and masculinity. The wine culture in her Ci attracts some western poets, and the sex images in her Ci cause the sense of modernity among readers. The interpretations of the western scholars on Li Qingzhao show the attitude and strategy of Chinese literature by the western culture.
