Abstract: Yan's Family Percepts is a masterpiece of the Northern and Southern Dynasties that reflects the best family tradition and rules of China with rich cultural resources. Its core values can be deeply explored and used for the current society. As for the eight words that bear the socialist core values, Yan's Family Percepts concerns "civilization", "harmony" and "justice" in more than one places, and declares "patriotic", "prosperity" and "freedom".In terms of the values of "civilization", it discusses the construction of moral sentiments, gives normative guidance to social morality, and promotes "courtesy" civilization, all of which help to produce good articles. In terms of "justice", it has the cultivation and dabbling in the reflection of family education, social life and political system.
