Abstract: From the perspective of the geo-economic, this paper reviews the existing difficulties in the economic development of the Zhuhai-Zhongshan-Jiangmen economic circle, such as the inefficiency of economic growth, the lack of motivation for economic development, the isomorphism of industries in the region and the insignificance of regional cooperation and development.Then, it analyzes the industrial structure with Shift-Share Method (SSM).The result shows that the primary industry is at a disadvantage compared with that of the secondary and tertiary industries in terms of industrial structure.However, in terms of competitiveness, the tertiary industry has better position.Based on this, it is proposed from the perspective of the geo-economic theory that the Zhuhai-Zhongshan-Jiangmen economic circle should establish a perfect coordination mechanism of regional geo-economic cooperation, combining the characteristics of geo-economics and making overall plans for misplaced development, relying on geographical relationship to actively breed regional central city, relying on innovation of geo-development model to solve the problem of regional development momentum, so as to promote the economic development in the Zhuhai-Zhongshan-Jiangmen economic circle and achieve the common prosperity of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao greater bay area.
