Abstract: The Documents of the Centennial Contract of Longquanyi in Chengdu(1754—1949) contains 31 sub-related documents, which are important historical materials for understanding the economic and social life of Chengdu Plain, especially the Hakka people.This paper analyzes the reasons, principles and cultural   educational functions of these documents for family property separation.It is believed that the historical inspiration in these archives can help us examine the transformation of modern Chengdu society from two aspects; traditional continuation and rupture.
