Abstract: The paper reviews the development course and construction practice of ethnology research in Sichuan since the founding of the People's Republic of China 70 years ago.It exhibits the 70 years of glorious achievements of ethnological study in Sichuan by displaying human resources, key projects, social services and discipline construction in Southwest Minzu University, Sichuan University, Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences, and Sichuan Institute of Nationalities.
