Abstract: Since the founding of the People's Republic of China 70 years ago, Sichuan physical education discipline has achieved fruitful results and rapid development. Reviewing the history of Sichuan physical education discipline, we see it has experienced four developing stages: initial stage, rapid growth stage, comprehensive development stage and expanding and optimizing stage.After the reform and opening up, Sichuan physical education discipline construction has achieved remarkable progress in discipline arrangement, team construction, platform building and achievement output. Sichuan physical education discipline is based on the development of west China, reflecting the style and characteristics of Sichuan, bearing the manner and style of Sichuan philosophy and social sciences, and making contributions to the development of Sichuan sports.
