The Integration of Explicit and Implicit Instruction in Non-English Major English Translation Teaching—Thoughts on Improving the students' Translation Ablity of Non-English Majors

  • 摘要: 尽管当今社会对既懂专业又懂翻译的人才需求量相当大,但是由于各种原因非英语专业的翻译教学没有得到应有的重视。文章基于显性教学和隐性教学的理论和实践,提出大学英语课程可以结合显性和隐性教学的优势开展翻译教学,显性和隐性教学的整合可以使非英语专业学生的翻译能力得到更好的发展。

     

    Abstract: Talents proficient in both specialty and translation are needed urgently in the present society. But due emphasis is not put on the translation teaching of non-English majors for various reasons. Based on the theory of explicit and implicit instruction and teaching practice, the paper puts forward that the advantage of explicit and implicit instruction can be taken of to promote the translation teaching in college English. The integration of explicit and implicit instruction can take the translation competence of non-English majors to the new level.
