Abstract: Traditional Chinese historical writing and the concept of the Ming unofficial history has an important impact of the novel comment of Jin Shengtan. He unconsciously comment Water Margin as the history books, introduce historians strokes into the Water Margin and make the image of Song Jiang Morohito new values resulting, and no doubt there is criticism of traditional Chinese characters in the novel new development. Meanwhile his commentaries to modify its Water Margin in the case of most fictional history of trying to use the historical writing to make changes to the novel, but not overly confined to the framework of the history books, this is undoubtedly Chinese novels and a major commentaries progress.
