Abstract: In the boom of world cultural heritage's preservation and inscription, many Chinese projects begin to recognize the importance of the UNESCO"World Heritage List".As a representative example of Chinese linear cultural heritage, the Grand Canal weathered a long time, covered a vast area and influenced many people and therefore features as both a historic heritage and a in-use heritage.So, it has become a heated issue for relevant experts, scholars and scientific institutions to study how to present the heritage of the Grand Canal more scentifically, truly and uniquely to the UNESCO World Heritage experts.Hence, starting from the summary of the current inscription situation of the Grand Canal, this paper analyzes the the development of the standard system for the Grand Canal's Inscription Evaluation and finally tries to find out a better inscription strategy, categrorizing the heritages as "Cultural Assembly"and"Cultrual Landscape".
