Abstract:
In early years, as an accomplished writer on children's literature, Zhou Tianlai wrote several works, which were well received by adults and children. Without adult standpoint and moral preach, he used humor and colloquial language, which were based on realism and with progressive inclination. These are the main features of his children's literature. His works drew lessons from outstanding Chinese and foreign children literature, providing a unique window for readers to discover children's lives and social reality of old Shanghai.
