Abstract:
Ji'an, a key town in Jiangxi Province, used to be known for its literati and people of integrity. When it became the headquarter for Jiangxi Province during the Anti-Japanese War, Ji'an was soaked with humanism. Ji'an was not only the center of Jiangxi Province in politics, economy and culture during wartime, but also a bridge of Anti-Japanese War culture between southeastern and southwestern China, resulting in rich Anti-Japanese War culture of various forms, such as poetry, wood carving and drawing, dramas and acrobatics, concerts and movies, journals, the arrival of Zhejiang University, the establishment of No.13 National Middle School, and some Anti-Japanese War activities, etc. All these cultural achievements greatly encouraged the national spirit in Anti-Japanese War and make Ji'an an indispensable part in the national Anti-Japanese War culture.
