Abstract: The cyberlanguage-related studies has been gaining more importance, in which some unique English expressions are replicated and transmitted into the Chinese cyberlanguage. Its development resembles the ideas in Memetics. There are some English memes in the Chinese cyberlanguage, including both the genotype and phenotype memes. As for the genotype memes, they are generally simple and strong memes, and while the phenotype memes are rather strong and usually form new memeplexes. The reasons for their popularity are that they are convenient, obscure and fashionable.
