Abstract: Recent years have seen an increasing interest in the methods of cognitive linguistic study. With that has come a variety of investigation techniques, ranging from the traditional introspection to the multiple empirical methods, such as behavioral research and equipment-based experiment. Though all methods have their disadvantages as well as advantages, they can reveal the true nature of language from various aspects and provide different evidence and assistance for us to make more precise and more scientific description and explanation of language. Multiple methods should be employed in the research of the methods in cognitive linguistics.
