从NICE角度剖析大学英语学习僵化现象——基于多媒体教学环境下的研究

Analysis of College English Fossilization from NICE Perspective —Based on Multimedia Teaching Environment

  • 摘要: 通过问卷调查发现,在多媒体教学环境下,学生英语水平依然僵化。导致其英语水平僵化的因素主要包括:母语负迁移、多媒体使用不当、认知因素和环境因素(简称为NICE)。为改善此僵化现象,本文提出了缓解策略:(1)正确对待母语迁移在二语习得中的作用,尽量利用母语正迁移促进语言习得; (2)教师应有效利用多媒体,并以学生为中心; (3)利用注意策略培养学生的语言意识,提高输入与输出的质量,从而逐步改善僵化现象。

     

    Abstract: As can be seen from questionnaire results, there still exists fossilization in multimedia English class. The factors contributing to fossilization mainly cover the following: negative transfer of mother tongue, improper application of multimedia, cognitive factors, and environmental factors (NICE for short). And this paper also provides insights into improving fossilization: first of all, we should adopt a correct attitude towards transfer of mother tongue in SLA and make best use of its positive power to promote language acquisition; what's more, with students centered, teachers should make a proper application of multimedia; additionally, teachers should employ noticing strategy to cultivate students' consciousness of language, which can enhance the qualities of input and output in turn and improve fossilization gradually.
